Acceptable Use Policy

Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy explains what is and is not allowed when you use PixToolery. It is part of our Terms of Service and applies to everyone, with or without an account. In short: only edit images you have the right to edit, respect the people who appear in them, and do not abuse the Service.

Face swap and face-related AI tools

When using face swap or any tool that alters faces or people:

• You must have the explicit consent of every person whose face appears in the source and target images.
• Do not use these tools to impersonate anyone or to create deceptive deepfakes presented as real.
• Do not use them for fraud, scams, identity theft, harassment, bullying, defamation or blackmail.
• Do not create political disinformation or fake content about public figures, elections or news events.
• Never depict real people in sexual, nude or degrading contexts.
• Do not upload images of minors to face swap or other sensitive edits.
• When you share AI-manipulated media, label it as AI-generated or altered wherever the law or the platform requires it, and never present it as authentic.

Prohibited content

You may not upload, create or share with PixToolery:

• Sexual content or nudity of any kind.
• Any content involving minors in a sexualised way. We have zero tolerance: such content is removed, the account is closed and we report it to the competent authorities.
• "Undressing" or non-consensual intimate imagery, including any attempt to remove clothing from a photo of a real person.
• Gore, graphic violence, or content promoting terrorism or violent extremism.
• Hate content that attacks people based on characteristics such as race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation or nationality.
• Any other illegal content, or content that infringes someone's privacy, image rights or intellectual property.

Watermark and object removal

Watermark removal, object removal and similar tools may only be used on images you own or have the right to edit. You may not use them to remove copyright notices, watermarks, logos, signatures or attribution from other people's work, or to pass off someone else's image as your own.

Rights in your uploads

Only upload images that you created, that you have a licence to use, or that you otherwise have the legal right to edit.

Abuse of the Service

You may not:

• upload malware or files designed to harm our systems or other users;
• bypass or attempt to bypass usage limits, quotas, credit charges, watermarks on guest results, or bot protection;
• abuse free trials, including by creating multiple accounts or rotating IP addresses;
• scrape the Service, use automated access we have not authorised, or reverse engineer our software or API;
• resell, sublicense or share access to the Service or your account;
• interfere with or overload the Service.

AI image detector

Results from the AI image detector are probabilistic estimates, not proof. Do not use them as the sole basis for accusing anyone, or for decisions with legal, academic, employment or similar consequences.

Enforcement

If we believe this policy has been broken, we may, depending on the seriousness:

• refuse to process a request or remove content;
• limit, suspend or permanently close the account involved;
• forfeit remaining credits in cases of serious violations;
• preserve relevant information and cooperate with law enforcement where required or appropriate.

Our automated checks and moderation are not perfect; the absence of action does not mean content is allowed.
