What changes when a photo becomes a PDF
The pixels stay the same. What the PDF adds is structure: pages with a real paper size, several images in one file, and a format document portals expect.

One document, one file
Reviewers expect a multi-page document to arrive as a single PDF, not as loose photos they must reassemble.
No new quality loss to worry about
The PDF wraps your photos; it does not make them sharper. A blurry photo of a page stays blurry, so retake it if needed.
Not searchable text
A photographed page is an image inside the PDF. Selecting or searching words requires OCR, which this tool does not do.
Preparing phone photos of paper documents
A few seconds of preparation makes the PDF far easier to read and keeps it under upload limits.
Crop to the page edges
Remove the table, fingers and shadows around the sheet with the crop tool before converting. The page then fills the PDF.
Straighten sideways shots
If a page was shot in landscape, rotate it upright first so the reader does not have to turn their head.
Shrink very large photos
Recent phones take photos of 12 megapixels or more. For a document, resizing to around 2000 px on the long side is usually plenty and keeps the PDF light.

Pick the layout from where the PDF is going next: a screen, an office printer or a portal with strict rules.

For forms and ID
A4 or Letter make the pages print at a normal paper scale, which is what most offices expect.
For a photo collection
Image-sized pages show each photo edge to edge, like a digital album.
Mixed shapes
Portrait and landscape photos can go in the same PDF; each is fitted to its own page.

How do I merge several JPG files into one PDF?
Add the photos in the order you want the pages, pick a page size and download. You get a single PDF with one photo per page.
Why is my PDF too large for the upload form?
The PDF is roughly the size of all the photos combined. Resize or compress the JPGs first, then convert again; a document page rarely needs full camera resolution.
Can I change the page order after adding photos?
Pages follow the order you add the files. Remove a photo and add it again to move it to the end.
Will the JPG to PDF converter make my document text searchable?
No. The pages contain photos, so the text is not selectable. Use an OCR tool if you need to search or copy the words.
Is JPG to PDF conversion private?
Yes. The PDF is built in your browser and your photos are never uploaded, which matters for ID cards, payslips and bank statements.
What page size should I use for official documents?
In Europe, A4 is the safe default; in the United States and Canada, US Letter. When in doubt, follow the size stated on the form.
