    Matching widths and heights

    Images rarely share a size. The match setting decides how they are brought into line.

    To smallest (default)

    Every image is scaled down to the narrowest one, so nothing is enlarged and the result stays sharp.

    To largest

    Smaller images are enlarged to match the biggest. Useful when one small image would otherwise shrink the whole result.

    Keep sizes

    Images stay at their original size and are centred, with the background colour filling the difference.

    Size limits for very long images

    A stitched image can get huge fast. These are the practical limits to keep in mind.

    Browser canvas limits

    To work on every browser, including iPhone Safari, results are kept under 16 384 px on a side and about 16.7 million pixels in total — scaled down if needed, with a notice.

    Where it will be viewed

    Social apps shrink very tall images to fit the screen, making text unreadable. For long threads, split into 2–3 parts instead.

    Screenshots with text compress best and stay crisp as PNG; photos are smaller as JPG.

    How do I stitch screenshots into one long image?

    Select all the screenshots at once, keep Vertical and 'To smallest', check the order and download. Use the arrows to fix any image that's out of place.

    Can I put two photos side by side?

    Yes. Choose 'Side by side'; the photos are scaled to the same height. Add a gap and a background colour for a clean divider.

    How many images can I stitch together?

    Up to 20 at once. Very long results are scaled down to stay within browser limits, and you're told by how much.

    Will stitching images reduce their quality?

    With 'To smallest' nothing is enlarged, so images keep their sharpness. PNG export avoids extra compression for screenshots with text.

    Can the stitched image have a transparent background?

    Yes — choose PNG, then the Transparent option. Gaps and padding stay transparent.

    What's the difference between stitching and a collage?

    Stitching keeps each image whole and simply lines them up. A collage crops photos to fit a layout and a fixed output size.
